The Embassy of Sweden in London is looking for a Financial Officer to join the Administration Department. To support the operational activities, the Embassy’s administrative section is responsible for HR, the application of internal rules and regulations, property administration, budgeting, and accounting.

As a Financial Officer, you will work closely with the Head of Chancery, handling the Embassy’s financial administration. Duties include processing invoices, bookkeeping, preparing payments and salary administration in different digital systems, as well as participating in the budgetary work at the Embassy.

For this role, you will need a relevant educational background and experience of working with financial administration and maintaining payrolls. We are looking for a person who has:

  • the ability to work well under pressure
  • excellent accounting skills
  • experience of working with Excel and
  • familiarity with both Swedish and British legal requirements.

You will also need to be fluent in English and preferably Swedish as well.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working in Palasso, Business World and knowledge of accounting in the local tax system Bright Pay and the pension system NEST.
